As a college student, I’m constantly balancing a full schedule—classes, late-night study sessions, and everything in between. One thing I didn’t expect to be such a headache? Changing my bedsheets. In a cramped dorm room with a heavy mattress and tight corners, it always turned into a frustrating chore.

It wasn’t just me. My mom mentioned she was having a hard time with it too—lifting the mattress was tough on her, and her sheets kept slipping off. That’s when it clicked: maybe this was a problem worth solving.

Even though my studies focus on finance, I decided to take on this very real, very everyday issue. I started sketching ideas, testing prototypes between classes, and experimenting with designs that could make bed-making easier without sacrificing comfort.

Eventually, I came up with a sheet that attaches to the mattress using Velcro—no lifting, no slipping, no stress. 

That’s how SleepTight was born. It started in my dorm room, built out of a mix of necessity, curiosity, and the desire to help my mom—and now it’s grown into something bigger. I'm still in college, still learning, and still improving, but I’m proud to be building something that makes life a little easier for others.
